What we learned from ABL round two

FREE baseball, walk-offs, a grand slam, complete game and a series sweep – the second round of the sixth ABL season had it all.

And while Canberra Cavalry moved to outright first after eight games the Brisbane Bandits are hot, riding a five-game winning streak to record its first ever four-game sweep.

Series Preview: Bite @ Bandits

BRISBANE and Adelaide enter the second week of the ABL season with 1-3 records – but it barely shows how they performed on Opening Weekend.

The Bandits won game four on Sunday to avoid a series-sweep despite out-hitting the Cavalry 46-37 in Canberra.

While in Perth the Bite lost three one-run games, including two in walk-off fashion.

What we learned from ABL Opening Weekend

BASEBALL is back.

And boy it is great.

The Heat were too good for the Bite – again, the Cavalry edged the Bandits and in Melbourne the Aces found a way to avoid winning a series in an error-riddled finale.
